Solder wires
As our name suggests we know something about solders. Here at Somerset Solders we stock solder wires for a broad range of applications from electronics assembly through to stained glass soldering. You will find solder wires from a gauge of 0.20mm up to 3.25mm; flux cored or solid core solders and reel sizes from 100g to 1Kg. You will find various flux types and different solder alloys from the low melting solder to the high melting.
So where do we start to choose the right solder for the application? We supply soft solders which are used for joining metals together: ISO Standards define soft solders as '' A metallic filler material which is used to join metallic parts and which has a melting temperature (liquidus) lower than that of the parts to be joined and, usually, lower than 450°C and which wets the parent metals.''
If you need any guidance on our solder wires then please do contact us and we will be happy to assist.
